REPORT:
Lance Hart pitched a complete game two-hitter as the Sarnia Braves defeated the Corunna Giants 4-1 in Courtright on Thursday night.
Hart Struck out five and did not allow a hit after the second inning.
Sarnia took a 1-0 lead in the first inning as Pat McKay scored on a Joel Ainsworth single. Russ Knight would score in the second to knot the game up as a ground ball hopped through Sarnia shortstop Russ Hoekstra.
Sarnia would add two in the fifth as James Grant scored on a wild pitch and McKay would cash again on a Westlake single. Randy Thingstad would score an insurance run in the sixth to make it 4-1.
Hoekstra, Jamie Barron and Grant all had extra base hits for Sarnia. Joel Ainsworth had two hits. Westlake, Taylor and Thingstad had singles. Ainsworth, Westlake and Grant each had an RBI.
Al Hillis and Knight had hits for Corunna. Ryan McLean, Jason Hodgins and Dave Murray combined to strike out five for the Giants.
